Has a satin finish varnish ~ varnish not original, maybe within the last 30 years
There is NOT alot of birds'eyes' in the paddle, as you can see in the pics, however ~ it is maple. And a few marks clearly shown in pics.

In great solid condition! No chips or cracks!
Measures; 10" long x 4-3.4" wide curved spoon

Canada Post does 'NOT' offer any discounts or small package rates 'within Canada' as they do for international/overseas. The above quotes are from the Canada P.O. online. I do want to be able to have quotes in my listings.
In reality, within Canada, it costs more to ship to your next door neighbor than it does to ship the same to Australia!

I recycle everything possible and driving everyone crazy! We DO NOT claim to be an allergy free home. 90% of the items I sell are from other homes, auctions, estate sales. Have no idea what kind of homes they are coming from. We have a wood fireplace, smoke and we have rescued a pitiful, but gorgeous homeless kitten/cat. (now 2) We (including the cat) are very clean and neat. But, we are 'NOT' 100% allergy or smoke free and neither are the consignment items.
